What We Believe

The Baptist convictions that guide One Faith Church

Every church stands on core beliefs. Here is what One Faith holds dear, drawn from Scripture and rooted in Baptist heritage. These convictions shape why we gather on Sundays at 10:00 in Spring, why we serve our community, and why we keep coming back together as one family.

Who God is

Everything we believe as One Faith flows from understanding who God truly is. This is our foundation and our constant return.

We believe in one God, eternal and good, who made the world and everything in it. He is not distant or impersonal. He is a Father who knows us by name, and who made us on purpose.

We believe this one God has always existed as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Not three Gods. One God, whose very being is relationship, whose very nature is love spilling outward, and whose plan from the beginning has been to draw us into that love.

If God is who the Bible says he is, nothing about our lives stays the same. Every conviction we hold to is really just an attempt to take that truth seriously.

What We Believe

Our Faith Foundation

At One Faith Church, we believe the Bible is God's living Word. These core convictions shape how we worship, serve, and grow together as one family in Spring.

God's Word The Bible is our authority We trust Scripture as the foundation for faith, practice, and how we understand God's will for our lives.
God's Love Unchanging and unearned His grace meets us where we are, not because we deserve it, but because of His boundless mercy toward us.
God's Purpose Redemption through Christ Jesus is central to everything we believe. Through Him, broken lives are restored and futures are redeemed.
Holy Spirit Living and transforming The Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowering us to grow, witness, and live out our faith daily.
The Gospel Good news for all people Salvation through faith in Christ is offered freely to everyone. This is the heart of our mission.
One Family United in Christ's body We gather at One Faith to worship together, encourage one another, and reflect God's kingdom on earth.
Tenet Three

Why the cross

Every culture has tried to explain the pain of being human. At the center of Christian faith stands one stubborn, scandalous answer: a Roman cross outside Jerusalem, and an empty tomb three days later. Four reasons the cross still stands at the center of One Faith Church.

  • 01

    Because Jesus actually lived

We believe Jesus of Nazareth was a real person, in real history, who lived a real life of sinless love and spoke real words we can still read and trust today.

  • 02

Because his death was not a tragedy

The cross was not something that happened to Jesus against his will. It was the plan, the moment God himself took the weight of our brokenness on his own shoulders so we would not have to carry it alone.

  • 03

    Because the tomb was empty

Three days after the cross, Jesus walked out of the grave. That single event is the reason we gather on Sundays at 10:00, the reason we have any hope worth talking about, and the reason death is not the last word on any of us.

  • 04

Because grace is a gift, not a wage

The whole story of the cross is that we could never earn what God wanted to give. So he gave it anyway. Trusting that gift, and living like it is true, is the heart of the Christian life.

Our Core Belief
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
The Great Commandment, Matthew 22:37-40

Bring your questions. We mean it.

We believe faith should be lived out loud and discussed openly. If you're exploring what it means to follow Jesus and want to talk it through with someone who gets it, we'd love to connect.
